How are you at this? Social media has made it so easy for us to think we are networking. There is no need to network, we can follow along at any time of the day what friends, family and clubs are doing. Our livelihood depends on it. There is a chemical reaction in the brain that forces us to be social creatures. And those who cannot entertain themselves talking to themselves. IN fact I’ll bet a number of you can be seen talking to yourself driving along in the car. I know one guy who crashed he car as he was so engrossed in the political debate on the radio he forgot he was driving. And he had been a professional Indy-car driver! Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, twitter and WhatsApp are wonderful. I use them daily. But I have recognized and am really appreciating getting reacquainted withhold friends in person. Here’s a suggestion; go through your contact list and find friends or colleagues you have not heard from lately. Call, email or message them to meet for lunch, dinner or simply to catch up. You may earn business in the process. Contact us to chat with a coach about planning your day, week, month, quarter and annual networking activities.
